Acer Laptop a last Christmas

Acer Laptop?
I bought a acer laptop a last christmas. My uncle opened it and I noticed the bottom of the laptop was open. Well he didn't say anything about it but when we got it, it was so slow that it would freeze for hours. We'd have to take the battery out to turn it off. Then the little metal stick that goes into the charger broke off and wouldn't connect. We replaced it and it broke again. Now my battery is charging but won't go past 2%. What do I do.

sounds like a basket case ... maybe the battery is bad ...

Acer laptops have a 1 year warranty, bring it to a Best Buy , they are an Acer authorized repair depot, and they will fix it for free as long as you have the recite proving the purchase date.

Acer laptop Apsire 3680

Acer laptop?
I just bought an Acer laptop Apsire 3680 and i'm kind of new to using a laptop so i'm sure how everything works yet. I plugged it in and let the battery charge fully but even when fully charged it only lasts about 1 hr and 30 minutes. Shouldn't it be longer than that?? also even when it is shut down it seems to drain the battery. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

No that's about right, make sure when you "shut down" you're going to start > Shutdown and not just closing the lid. When you close the lid it will go into standby which still uses the battery

Hey i just got one 2! and yea 1 1/2 is all i get on mine. They say its suppose to get 2 1/2 but with all the vista features and extra software that come with vista and acer it will drain alot of battery i would try to unistall some of the programs on your computer that you do not need at all, and if you only use your computer for email and istant messaging then i would put it on power saver ow the computer will be slow but i got it to last for 2 hours once

A friend of mine is selling his laptop for $400 dollars and it is without Operating System; however, he said he has the license key for Vista and all I need to do is borrow someone's CD. The laptop is made by Acer and it is a 2007 model. 14" screen is tiny, but all other specs seem good. price isnt too bad at all, id say get it, try to put windows xp on the system because vista will bog that laptop down baddd.

ok this is a wonderful wonderful price, if you don't want it give me your friends email and i will buy it today, has an excellent processor good ram, it will not play games well at all because the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 is a horrible game chip, which should be fine because you dont buy a laptop for games anyway, the fact that he has a key for the OS makes this even more worth it, it would still be a good deal if you had to go out and buy another OS, you can either torrent the cd or borrow one as all you need it to do is install it. you got yourself one hell of a deal. it is very fast has a huge hard drive, a great burner, almost all those things are extra, he probably payed close to double that to buy it new hope this helps

Dont buy an ACER lappie, it is cheap as chips and looks good on specs but if you have ever used an acer you will find out how poor quality they are. They never give you windows CD in order to make sure that you keep their bloatware installed. Their laptops are hardly stable and keep brakin down. BTW their cust service and repair are absolutely shocking

Will the sims 2 work well on my acer vista laptop?
Will the sims 2 work well on my acer vista laptop? I have an acer laptop and I have like 9 GB or something left in memory, I am not sure really. Also does it work good on vista? Will it look right? I am also wondering if it is worth the $20 alone or if I will need the expansions to actually have some fun? How do the expansions work? Should I waite for the sims 3?

I have a brand new Acer laptop that has other sounds, but no sound when I play a DVD. What do I need to download to get sound with my DVDs?

how do i change the desktop background of my Aspire One Acer laptop?
i just got a laptop the aspire one by acer and i wanna change the background, but i dont know how. i wasnt able to find the desktop background settings in the control pannel. do i have to download anything to change the wallpaper?

or right click on desktop and click personalize, and then desktop background and choose which folder that has the image you desire

Right click on an empty space on your desktop. Click on properties in the box that opens. Then click on Desktop in the box that opens. You will find background settings on there or you can choose one of your own from your pictures or photos folders. (this is for windows xp)

I have the same problem. There is no option to right click on a picture and set as desktop background. There is no option to right click on the desktop and personalise or choose options. Even in control panel, when I type in desktop background, it says no results.

There should be an FN key and a key symbol (a sun or something like that) that allows you to make it brighter or darker. You use both keys. Hold down the FN key and tap the other key until it is adjusted where you need it.
