Acer Aspire 5920G Gemstone laptop

How to turn off the sensor buttons of my Acer laptop?
I have Acer Aspire 5920G Gemstone laptop and it has these quick media buttons on the right side of the keyboard. They're heat sensor touch buttons so every time my hand accidentally touches them while typing, Windows Media Player opens and interrupts me. The buttons are 5 - play/pause, stop, rewind, forward, record. This is drivin' me crazy so if anyone knows how to disable them or turn them off please tell me!!!

push start button they will not work while computer is off

this site will give you a sony vaio laptop just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you're broke but really want/need a laptop (like me).

How do I do a recovery on my acer laptop? it goes to a pitch black screen? How do you do that w/o the disks?
It's an acer laptop and I don't have the recovery disks if it even came with it. I heard some laptops have built in recovery programs. The laptop doesn't go the the desktop. It ends up going to a pitch black screen.

You can perform a System Recovery on many computers. This will return your hard drive to the ORIGINAL factory configuration, with everything it originally had. First, let's find out if your computer supports it. SKIP THIS STEP IF YOU CANNOT LOAD WINDOWS. Go to My Computer, and look under Hard Disk Drives. A lot of PC's today will include two hard disk partitions. There is always a C:\ drive (normally the Windows drive) and often a D:\ drive. The D:\ drive may be called "Recovery" or something like it. If there is no D:\ drive, you may have to do System Recovery from a disk. Contact your PC manufacturer to order the disks. They're pretty cheap- disks for my PC only cost 13$ including shipping. It's a lot easier than buying a new PC. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! SYSTEM RECOVERY DELETES *ALL* FILES YOU HAVE CREATED. It restores the hard drive to the original, STRAIGHT FROM THE FACTORY. This means that all files you have created are DELETED! My Documents? GONE! My Pictures? GONE! Installed Programs? GONE! You MUST backup anything you want to keep on a USB drive or memory card!!! A backup utility may be made available to you when you attempt the System Recovery. Now to perform System Recovery. Restart your PC. As Windows is loading, look for a message that says "Press [KEY] for System Recovery". When you see this message, press the given key and follow the instructions, and hopefully you will be able to perform a successful System Recovery. If you do not see this message, but see other messages, try pressing them. Example: "Press [KEY] for Startup Options".

How do i remove my graphics card out of my acer laptop?
Ok so im trying to play WoW and everytime i start the game my laptop crashes becuase of the graphics card. well i have another acer that has a good graphics card in it that i want to put in this laptop. ( the other laptop stopped working ) and so how would i find/dissamble the acer to get to the graphics card? i have an acer aspire 5610Z , please help!

You can't replace or change the graphics card in a laptop, it's integrated into the motherboard.

Thinker, please try living up to your name. That is a guide for some OLD desktop systems, NOT laptops. Your laptop has a very crappy integrated video card that CANNOT be changed or upgraded, period.

How do I get my Webcam to work on my new Acer laptop?
I just bought an Acer 5534 laptop. I can't find the driver for it at all. I got it from walmart. A lot of people have said that it doesnt come with it installed or something like that. I don't know what to do, but I need a webcam. Help? Thanks!

Have you tried going to the Acer website and looking for the driver? Also, you need to tell people what Operating System you have if you post anything about computers. You should also try windows update. And SINCE I DON'T KNOW WHAT OPERATING SYSTEM YOU HAVE, It's kinda hard to help you. I'm going to ASSUME that you have Windows 7 or Vista. Click start menu-> All programs-> Windows Update. Look for updates. Your computer may have come with a driver disk you can run and manually install the driver.
