Will a dell oem disk work with my acer laptop?
Just wondering whether or not the activation will work because the disk that came with my acer laptop is full of trials.

It may, but it's illegal to do so. The disk is OEM'd to Dell, and is required to be installed on the machine it was destined for. Also, it is going to put in all dell drivers and software, and be hell to get to work right on an Acer.

No, it won't. You just have to remove the crapware and bloatware manually, or make your own reinstall disk.

Yes, if you install by cd rom drive, but if you just pop the CD and do an upgrade no.

it will but i dont think it will pass windows authentication.. the oem disks are usually limited to the motherboard they are sold with.

ran a dell windows cd on a compaq it install fine try to activate it,kept saying this cd is use for new install on dell pcs, install well on a dell pc ,to sum it up, no! it might install but it won't activate on that acer laptop
