How can make a factory image/system restore point for my acer laptop?
I have recently gotten a new laptop and I need to back it up, its an acer aspire 6930, i have no optical discs or dvds to burn it to so anyone have any ideas? i also have a C dirve and D drive so could i somehow save the backup on my D ? is thats so then why do i have 106GB free of 106 GB on my D drive?

The d drive is your recovery partiton, so no you cannot back it up there. That d drive is for your to create your recovery cds for your computer and for you to also format and reinstall windows.

You usually must burn that back-up image to disc. You can postpone doing it, just don't wait too long. Go buy some blank DVDs, you'll be glad you did - I see people whose butts are saved every day by their recovery discs! Best of luck!
