Laptops & Notebooks - 4 Answers Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions : 1 : I believe there are cooling docks for laptops. Check stores like Best Buy or Furture Shop for them. Hope this helps. : ] 2 : I actually just finished working on a acer like 2 days ago. They are some noisy machines omg... It will sound like it is about to go into orbit and then will be quiet for a minute and repeat. There is a temp sensor inside and when the inside hits that is when it goes into orbit. Best results i seemed to have was to sit something underneath it so that the air vents on the left side were not covered up and the hot air could get out. This seemed to stop it from going into orbit like every 5 minutes. 3 : don't put it on your lap... it is not ment to used that way. most of the heat is from CPU. don't worrie about malfuction. if you are paranoid, you can get a notebook cumputer chiller mat. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=notbook+mat&x=0&y=0 4 : Most laptops have their fan at the bottom side. If you put it on your lap, chances are you are stoping the airflow and so you get overheated. Make sure the fan does not rest on your leg. |
