How to remove the Acer website on my laptop?
i just got a new acer laptop and when i use internet explorer the acer website always is on all the time when i start it. does anybody know how to remove that feature?

Open your web browser and go to the site you want to use as your homepage. Click "Tools" and then choose "Internet Options" from the menu. In the "Home page" field near the top of the window, click the "Use current" button. Now Internet Explorer will open at the page you chose instead of the Acer site.

That is the home page they set. I just got a Acer and had the same thing. Go to control panel Internet options. Where it says homepage it will have it listed or may have two listed erase anything in the box and add whatever you wish to use in the box. say for instance Yahoo you would put http://www.yahoo.com then click apply and OK you are all set

If its launching as your home page open IE and go to "tools> internet option> genreal tab and replace the http://acer.com address with a home page address of your choice such as http://www.yahoo.com or maybe a good golf site you like :) If it automatically launching when you turn you computer on go to your start button (or windowws pearl in vista) then go to programs (all programs) startup , then delete the acer button in the startup folder. done :)

That's because its your homepage. Just go to tools>internet options and change your homepage to whatever webpage you want it to be. If you want it to be blank, change it to about:blank
