Is it possible to buy the re recovery disk for a disney acer eee pc mk90 laptop?
I bought my daughter a used disney acer laptop from my brother. But the recovery disk was broken. I looked on line on ebay and i cant find anything. I really need it!!!!! HELP ANYONE.............

What can I use from an Acer laptop before throwing away?
I had an Acer TravelMate 800 series laptop, but the screen broke so I purchased a new Fujitsu Lifebook A series laptop. I'm already using the hard drive from the Acer, but what else can I use from it? Nothing else is broken besides the screen. like can I use the memory to enhance my fujitsu somehow? Please help!!!

Memory and Hard drives are the only sure bets. Any pcmcia card you had for the old one also. You might be able to salvage and sell the battery and battery charger on Ebay. You could also sell the DVD if it's removable.

i would take the ram, dvd drive and the battery out to to use for spares. you can also just hook up an external monitor to your old laptop, switch the display to the monitor, then under your power options switch : "When close lid" from "sleep" to "do nothing". now you have a very slimline, perfectly functional desktop pc. you could grab a little envision flatscreen monitor for like nothing these days.

Touchpads can be hard to disable totally, at least in Windows, but there's probably a setting buried in the touchpad's control panel that says something like "disable while typing".

No. Apple designed Mac OS to run only on their hardware. They do use Intel CPUs, but they manufacture their own motherboards, which are different from those found in standard PCs. no , board would never handle it

well.. you would have to first buy the actual cpu, then paying someone to pull apart your laptop and replace it, then reassembly then run a few tests and updates to ensure the cpu is full y reconized... seems to me its going to cost alot more then its worth. sell the celery laptop and get what ever u can out of it (locally, ebay,craigslist) and purchase a core2duo laptop (about 600 bux these days)
