How do I get photos from my Aiptek camera onto my Acer laptop ?
I have alot of pictures i want to upload but I dont know how to get them on my laptop I have an AIPTEK camera and I really need to upload my acer laptop And is there a slot for the memory to go in on an acer laptop? [Please Help me if you know how to]

u need to have a usb cord for that. else if ur laptop has a card reader for that specific card. then try that.

Acer laptop refuses any external connection?
Hi! I recently was given an Acer Aspire 5100 laptop and was said I could keep it if I got it to work. It runs Windows 7 Ultimate. The problem is that no external connections work - neither USB, nor Ethernet/LAN nor the internal CD drive (and therefore I can't even reinstall windows). The wireless internet connection works though. What can I do to get this running? Thanks a lot in advance.

You forgot to describe the problem. Just telling us what doesn't work isn't helpful. You have to tell us how you've tried to use them, how far you got, and exactly what went wrong.

go into bios and turn enable those things that you say dont work. To enter BIOS restart the machine and it will say "press ? to enter setup" this maybe the F1,F2 or Del key or another. Look around the menu and try to find where it mentions usb and ethernet and all the things you say dont work, then enable them or do this below Enter setup and load fail safe and defaults. Although have you tried restarting the machine and repeatedly tapping F8 and choose last known good config or safe mode?Could you try this please? I am thinking they spilled water on the keyboard and messed up the motherboard, but that thought might not be true good luck

How can i change my Acer laptop language to english?
My laptop is Acer (windows vista home premium) it's in italian but i want to change it in english but i couldn't so please help me...i can only change the language of the keyboard but the main language i can't change so please help me experts

go to the control panel ... click on the icon that looks like a globe... you have a drop down menu that will change to any language!! Hope it works out

goto control panel regional and language options then to languages tab click on details thne under settings tab select input language change it to english. when u drop down there it will show u the options which languages you can change to.

I cant get vista to recover on my acer laptop?

I cant get vista to recover on my acer laptop?
I don't know what happened but my laptop if screwed up. It will not boot into vista, just to what i call recovery mode. (where you have several options on fixing the problem which i cant get to work) i used the recovery cds but nothing. ALT-F10 will not work either, it just freezes, im stuck. what can i do? Also, i already called acer and they won't help because its no longer under warranty.

You might have bad hard drive.

what have you done? any scans for virus's, malware or spyware? That would be my first choice, then if none of that works then the recovery cd's, maybe find a reputable IT person and try, yes it will cost. I can't understand acer not helping, it is their product they should help you either way, just charge you if out of warranty? I don't know if the recovery disc's are auto run ,they should be, maybe go into BIOS and check you boot order to set CD at first, save and exit then put you cd in and see if it boot from a restart?

ALT and F10 should work it is a primary function of Acer. Just in case you are not doing it right. Hold ALT and repeatedly press F10 when the Acer logo is on screen at start up .If you have never made any backups the only option you can select is factory. There is one thing if you have never used the ACER recovery before it may not be enabled . To enable press F2 when the ACER logo is on screen at start up .Your mouse will not work so use the arrow and enter keys. Select main from the list Then enable D2D recovery ( recovery from hard disc partition in "D) The recovery is kept hidden in the "D" drive to stop corruption from viruses etc If all this fails i suspect your hard drive is duff.

my screen on my acer laptop has got a huge crack in how do i fix?
I have an acer aspire one laptop and mydaughter threw it across the floor. When i turned it on the screen has a huge crack in it and has all lines over it. How do i go about getting it fixed and how exspensive is it to fix?

Repair shop will give you an estimate, ~

The cost of the LCD panel is going to be approx $80-100, fitting probably 2hrs work. However if the screen has 'lines all over it' then it probably indicates other problems. It may be easier and more cost effective to just buy a new one.
