How do i enable a external monitor on my acer laptop?
Please help I've asked a few times i need to know how to enable/install a external monitor onto my acer aspire laptop.My screen is broken and i can only boot in safe mode because the monitor is not enabled as external yet.How do i do this so it will boot in normal mode again.I WILL CHOOSE best answer Thanks

plug in your external monitor then in safe mode right click then properties and then settings and you know do stuff. if your lucky you can reboot and you wont have to do that extra stuff. goodluck

I don't have any disk..not even a windows disk....i have windows 7 on my acer...but i want to completely wipe out my laptop to factory settings....how can i do that without a disk? And the windows 7 i have is Windows 7 Home Premium....i don't have the disk for it anymore since i lost it somewhere.

I have a(n) Acer laptop, Windows 7. But Every time I try to put the memory card in from my camera it wont show up, I can't find it anywhere. My brother says his Computer did this to, and that he had to install a new drive.. Where do I find that?

It might just be because Acer laptops are low quality and often regarded as awful laptops and the SD card slot is malfunctioning.

New Acer laptops have a hidden recovery partition that can be activated by holding Alt+F10 as the laptop starts up. Give that a shot.

if you computer has a recovery partition, look for something during boot that looks like 'press ___ to recover' or '... for boot options' however, that restore partition will set the computer to how it was when you first got it, without the programs you installed plus all of the crapware they give you you could try booting into safe mode, and going to a system restore point (press F8 during boot, before the splash screen)

I bought a new acer laptop about 3 months back, and it did not come with a restore disk. Now I find myself in need of a system restore, and have no disk to do so. Is there a place where I can download one without paying a huge amount for it? I mean, it's not MY fault that they no longer include one with the purchase.

You can't download it. You can pay Acer to mail them to you. That is all. And if they did not provide a disc at purchase, they provided you with a restore partition. It was your responsibility to make the recovery cds when you first got it home. You either get one or the other... and you ALWAYS get one, or the other. Just not both.

Different laptops will handle this differently, depending on the exact layout, but there should be a numlock key, just like on regular keyboards. The difference on laptops is that usually there is a key marked " fn " that makes the numlock key work.

from your description, it could be the battery, I have a pc, so i am not familiar with laptops.

Batteries, AC adapters, and power ports can all go out on a laptop. Batteries and AC adapters are the more common failures, and fortunately cheaper to replace. Have a tech or a physics teacher test your AC adapter. (Trust me, your physics teacher has a voltmeter). You're looking for 18v plus or minus one. Anything else, and the AC adapter is to blame. Batteries are a bit trickier to test, so you may need to see a tech on that one.
